Welcome to 5th Grade at Diplomat Elementary
Our Learning is out of this WORLD!
This will be a year filled with excitement, learning, and achievement. In 5th grade, students will engage their creative minds, extend their thinking, persevere when tasks get tough, and always give their best effort. In the process, we will also be showcasing our daily successes and setting long term goals. With a good attitude, our classroom will work cooperatively to enhance learning and communicate effectively with others.
A little bit about me...I was raised outside of Buffalo, NY. I graduated from Buffalo State College with my teaching degree. I immediately moved to Florida to begin my teaching career in 2006. I am married with 3 children of my own, two of them also attend Diplomat Elementary. Even though I enjoy Florida weather over Buffalo, I hope to move to the mountains one day. I miss having the fall season.
To be sure we are able to complete our learning in a timely manner, I will provide a classroom that builds teamwork, emphasizes respect, and motivates students to reach their fullest potential. Students will participate in real-life learning activities, the application of subject are skills, technology supported instruction, and simulations. Students will also set individual and class goals.
Your child will obtain the best education when we work as a team. A parent's enthusiasm, support, and participation inspire children to do their best. A strong parent-teacher relationship is key part of a successful year. Together we can achieve magnificent things.Please download Class Dojo, this will be my main means of communication.
